We define philanthropy as thoughftul, intentional and ongoing sharing of one's time, talent and treasure for the common good.

Philanthropy is not about the size of one's pocketbook. It is about the size of one's heart.

The Overhead Myth

For years, the media and nonprofit watchdog groups have fed the public with the message that nonprofits shouldn't be spending much money on administration, as the money should be going to the programs of service. The challenge with this is that an organization cannot operate in an efficient manner if there isn't adequate and qualified staff to ensure its success.

Charity Navigator, BBB Wise Giving Alliance and Guidestar.org wrote an open letter to American donors in 2013 to end the false conception that financial ratios are the sole indicator of nonprofit performance.
